👻 Costume Exchange: We’re excited to bring back our second annual Costume Exchange! From October 13–31, you can donate gently used costumes, pick one up, trade, or just take one home—whatever works best for your family. Costumes will be available after school throughout the exchange dates.
October 20-24 - Book Fair. Family Night October 22. Sign up to volunteer.
October 22 - Unity Day - Wear Orange (Sponsored by PAL)
October 23 - Picture Makeup Day
October 24 - Spirit Day: Crazy Hair/Hat/Sock Day (Sponsored by MELT)
October 24 - Trunk or Treat. Decorate a Car- Signup! If you’d like to decorate or host a trunk, check out the sign-up link. We’d love to have your creativity join in on the fun! The candy is supplied, you just need to decorate a trunk and we will handle the rest! We are offering pizza for families participating in the trunk decorating as well as offering families to walk with their children around the decorated cars 20 minutes prior to start.
October 26 - SpEd Parent Night Out 6:30 p.m. @ Lucille’s
October 27 - Glow Party Boo Bashes during lunch (K, 1, 3, 5)
October 28 - Glow Party Boo Bashes during lunch (2, 4, 6)
October 27-31 - Red Ribbon Week
Monday 10/27: Walk to School Day! Wear Red.
Thursday 10/30: First Responder Day

November 3 - Staff Development Day (NO SCHOOL)

Our Melinda Heights PTA would love your help!
There are still a few Committee chair positions open for several FUN & IMPORTANT events/activities that are a crucial part of our Melinda Heights community. We are hoping to find some new volunteers to fill these open spots so our kids can continue to enjoy these activities next year. If you are interested in a position or would like to team up with another parent to co-chair a position, please email our incoming President, Jane Gaba at president@mhpta.org.
